You are Loved.

Eighteen days into 2024… And what a year it has already been!

Maybe your beginning of the year hasn’t been eventful, or maybe be it has been very eventful, even milestone marking eventful!

I know a brave little girl who has made tremendous literal steps in her journey this new year, and I am over the moon for her and her family – many prayers spent on knees, tears, hard perseverance and truly leaning hard on Jesus has brought them this far and HE will continue to supply and sustain, I truly believe!!!

New life has come. And some have gone. Good news has been reported. And tough news has been told. Differences have been shared, and in some cases, disputed and in some cases, agreed to disagree.

There has definitely been celebration and joy, and there has been disappointment and heartbreak already this year. In my household there have been medical decisions to be made and doctors’ appointments to be scheduled. There have been feeling good days and days, like today, when none of us feel like ourselves.

Obviously I don’t have much to give today, and I am becoming okay with owning and claiming this fact on days like this. Most importantly because I don’t want anyone who is reading this to perceive my writings as anything BUT only by His power, His grace, and His faithfulness. I am weak. I am tired. I am in migraine pain today. I am by no means able to “get through” this day on my own. I’m completely okay with that. Because I know Who created me, Who holds my Lucy, Who created and holds the world together has me in His hands – He also knows what the next minute holds and who the President of the US will be- just in case any of you get overwhelmed by this as I do.

So today, I pray that you will know the height, depth, width, and indescribable unconditional all encompassing love and welcoming arms of Jesus! Truly, as I cry throughout today “Jesus come near. Jesus I need you!”

Life Book of the Week: Who sang the First Song, by Ellie Holcomb (also, Highly recommend her music – and LOVE her children’s albums!) 😊
