About

is this really happening!?!?

Wowzers! I’m not sure how to begin, but then again I must! So I am going to ask myself some questions, and as you will find, I love to ask questions!

Why in the world are you starting a blog? Hard stuff, first. I started a small business in 2010, Indeed! LLC, a little shop specializing in handmade and quality retail products. With ongoing chronic daily health challenges, my current jobs (babysitting and nanny), and the hopes of adoption in my future, I wanted to be flexible. So I set out to local Southern Home & Garden Shows, Women’s Shows, Holiday Shows, Etc. In 2014, I also found a cute store in Greensboro, NC that had a space open for my shop with in their store of Mechanistas 🙂 This was awesome! Exactly what I was hoping for, especially because hopes of adoption were coming together.

The adoption waiting ended in early 2018, when I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into my world. I will be forever grateful for her mom who chose to give her life and gave us both the title Mommy!!! She is by far the most courageous person!!! (more about this later :)) Well, my baby girl is a fire ball, she is precious, vocal, and the most expressive baby I have ever seen! She has ran ahead of me into Jesus’ arms, after a ton of miracles and a diagnosis that left doctors speechless. Believe me you will read a lot about her, because we packed in a lot in 6 months, not even knowing we had such a short time together! I had waited five years, she was never further than the next room!

She was one of the biggest reasons I had felt I needed to establish this business. About 30% of my products were baby and children lines, that I was and still am very passionate about. However, only a month or two after she ran ahead, I received the news that the shop in Greensboro would be closing. The lease was up and the owner wanted to possibly do something new. So I prayed and decided I had enough “return” customers that I would give myself some time, and slowly reevaluate. And so I did….

And then… we decided the house I had grew up in and always hoped to raise my children in, the homestudy approved house, times 4+, was too much to keep up. So we decided to sell, well it sold within a month… yep, that meant ALOT of packing, ALOT of chaos, and oh yeah, as we were moving COVID hit hard! Lockdown… boxes in storage… boxes in closets… boxes in beds… boxes missing… boxes everywhere! Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

So, Covid, Chronic Daily Health, that’s all for another post, but basically retail space/shows are out of the picture for Indeed! LLC now. So onto a new adventure! One that I have been encouraged to do for a while. But haven’t really believed the timing was right. But I do now.

So what are you going to be writing about? Glad you asked 🙂 Jesus, Chronic Health, Children, Small Business, Adoption, Single Parents by choice, “Aunting”, Grandparents, Books, Music, Legacy, and so much more!

(Grammar is not my thing… I can write all day… but if you ask me to proof read, well your grades are in danger. Please excuse any Grammar mishaps in these posts!)
