What a Week!

Has it really only been a week since I last posted? It’s been a bit of a rough and tumble week. One of those weeks that each day you wake up and immediately think, “wow, Jesus has given me another day!” And that’s where you stay for the rest of the day. He has given me life and breath and doctors who know what they are doing, and I fully put my trust in the God who sees, hears, knows, and guides.

I have mentioned that my lab results a few months back, showed some really low iron and ferritin levels. Short version: this past Monday I received an Iron Infusion IV (pictured above, also looks like coke going in my veins, fun fact😊), and it went very well and should be seeing a difference in energy and overall well-being within two weeks. With having Covid and then having this IV infusion, I believe my body is simply trying to “reboot/recharge.” So today, I share something that I have “pre-written” for days like these 😊

Thirty Five Random Fun Facts About Me: ☺️

  1. Jesus has always been 100% real and alive to me. Ever since I was a little girl and accepted Him into my heart to live, grow, and guide me.
  2. I absolutely positively hate to be hot and sweaty! Give me cold weather any day!
  3. I have horrible eye sight! Cute glasses have come along way since I was in Second grade!
  4. Stickers obsessed!!!
  5. I love to create, doodle, color, paint, draw, organize…
  6. I went to a Christian Private School kindergarten through Eighth Grade
  7. I was Homeschooled for High School- done by lunch most days, which was a BIG WIN!
  8. I began dancing at the age of three, ballet and tap. Added jazz and joined a dance company at my studio when I was in elementary school. My absolute favorite dance style was and is tap, and my favorite instructor, Gene Midler. (Look him up! AMAZING!)
  9. LOVE PUZZLES!
  10. Absolutely positively despise florescent lights! I could easily argue this into law- make them illegal!! I can prove that my heart rate goes up and my migraines are triggered! (Which isn’t helpful when you tend to have a lot of doctor’s appointments)
  11. I will always advocate for ALL life with every breath I have!
  12. Big heart for birth moms and families
  13. Passionate about raising awareness about adoption, foster care, and all Life-Giving options for All kids!
  14. I chose not to go to college and instead continue to feed my love of learning, through self-education and asking questions, observing, etc.
  15. I love finding small businesses wherever I go. Local Authors, artists, restaurants, stores. You can find me any of these places, I will opt out of the amusement parks and such.
  16. I have a deep love for family: knowing our heritage, history, and culture.
  17. Actually I love all history! I believe it is very important to know what is behind to move forward, this is where some of our biggest lessons are!
  18. Avid Children’s book lover and collector! My favorites are true stories written to capture the reader of all ages!

  20. I believe strongly that mental health must be a priority, and that we can do a much better job than we are doing at the moment!
  21. I am an EXPERT procrastinator! I live among stacks of to-dos 😊
  22. Lost count of how many journals I have… I have one for just about everything! One for documenting memories. One for quotes. One for doodles. One for words of encouragement for missing Lucy. One for article clippings….
  23. I will never turn down a good t-shirt or blanket! 😊
  24. I prefer yellow, green, or blue printing paper- I can’t stand to read off of white computer paper. When my brother and I were in school the suggestion of color notebook paper was given to my parents, due to learning disabilities. Well, you couldn’t find notebook paper like this in the 80s and 90s, so my Paw-Paw MADE it for us. Hours of work to get it just right, because it had to look just like notebook paper to be accepted by teachers!
  25. Born Entrepreneur? Yes. Both my brother and I. We asked for a real cash register one Christmas, and then another Christmas I asked for a copy machine. I started charging to make copies, sew buttons, wrap presents. I even got smart and set up a lemonade stand in my grandparents neighborhood that was mostly retirees and construction workers who knew my family and I since I was a baby… what can I say, I was working toward a small business!
  26. In 2010, at the age of 22 I opened Indeed! LLC, a traveling gift shop.
  27. After high school I received a “career certificate” in photography. “Playtime photography” was my vision, but by the time I completed this certificate, I realized the competition and that I just wanted to do this for fun!
  28. I do LOVE photography! Capturing the moment, memories, you can never have too many! It’s strange really how no one really documents anymore.
  29. I also did the “book work” for in-home-childcare education, but did not take the test, because I stink at tests and I love the children I was keeping and I didn’t want to squash that love.
  30. I value quality over quantity any day! Clothes, shoes, toys, etc
  31. Good sale on art supplies, toys, books… Count me in!
  32. I could EASILY spend all day watching birds and squirrels with kids! (Also Lucy’s favorite activity)
  33. I still have to have a paper planner! Cute and happy of course!😊
  34. I love being at home – always have- but even more since Lucy ran ahead. I always have something I need to do and she is so near when I am home.
  35. I’ve survived one WHOLE year of blogging!!!! 😊

Well that’s all I have for today… I hope and pray to be back to my writing self next week!
